Lee Hendrie – Back Or Gone?

Interesting to see if Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie now returns to Villa Park or if Stoke (or anyone) are able to extend his loan or take him permanently.

Officially lil’ Lee has played his last game for the Potters, but City manager Tony Pulis admits there is a bit of confusion over the situation.

‘It was either his last game against Wednesday or on Saturday. There’s a bit of conflict in the office about it, but Salif Diao and Patrik Berger are here until the middle of January.’

According to the Stoke Sentinel, Pulis said talks were already ‘well advanced to try to keep the likes of Hendrie on long-term deals when the January transfer window opens next week.’

Be interesting to see if Martin O’Neill fancies Hendrie back in the team now, we are certainly still low on numbers and maybe can’t expect that much movement in the January transfer window? He would surely be in last chance saloon, although he has had more last chances than I’ve had hot dinners to be fair!
