Lee Hendrie is still trying to find a new club for the forthcoming season having become a free agent this summer. He has been linked to all comers but has yet to agree a deal.
He told Sky Sports: ‘A lot of people are away, it is worrying really because I just don’t know where I stand. There is nothing really happening, but I am looking forward to wherever I go. I am champing at the bit. I just want it to happen quickly now so that I can start focusing on football again.’
I must admit I am surprised he hasn’t been snapped up, he might not be the best but he certainly isn’t the worst and some of the clubs could do worse for free!
He has also said, despite links to Coventry, Sheffield United, Stoke, Leicester and many more I can’t remember, that Derby would be ‘perfect’ for him. Adding ‘They’re obviously a club that are going places and any player would want to be a part of that.’
