Kevin Toner and Easah Suliman have both today returned to Aston Villa following loan spells out with Walsall and Cheltenham Town respectively.

20 year old Toner penned a new deal with Villa back in August and headed out to the Bescot Stadium for a spell with League One side Walsall.

He returns having made 20 appearances in total, along with a run of 15 consecutive matches for Jon Whitney’s outfit.

He didn’t help himself to a goal, but he did pick up two yellow cards.

Suliman returns owing to injury unfortunately and his time at Whaddon Road gave him seven starting appearances for League Two Cheltenham with a further five appearances from the substitutes bench.

He also didn’t find the net but proved he wasn’t afraid to put his foot in coming back with three yellow cards.

  • Toner would be good cover as we don’t have anyone behind Elphick. This will give Bruce the chance to assess in training for a week or two then either keep him as cover or send him back out….

  • I thought Toner looked really promising last season, after Chester and Baker, and Elphick, id be happy with him as 4th choice. Let him get some experience on the bench between now and the end of the season.

  • I’d rather loan them both back out but at a higher level club in same division or step them up to next division – even if only for 3 months straight with the new rules I which I think allow three months still but just not on the emergency basis. Suliman
