According to Villa manager Martin O’Neill the return from injury by Luke Moore gives him even more options.
Moore had shoulder surgery following the Chelsea game last September but is now back and raring to go. Moore spent time in America after Randy Lerner sent the player over to the Cleveland Browns specialists who were more used to treating shoulder problems. Now he is fit he faces more competition with new arrivals John Carew and Ashley Young.
O’Neill said: “Luke getting back to fitness will be a boost for us. It means competition for places which never does any harm. When you’ve had a two-month period of the side basically picking itself and where you have been struggling to fill the bench, it is nice finally to have competition.’
“Luke did really well for us in a wide role at the start of the season and we’ve got options up front.”

This is more good news. Too bad we have to wait two weeks to see the repaired Luke. Show him the path, Obi-Carew.
Is he someone you have missed?
Maybe Gabby will be given a rest for a few more weeks, three up front anyone?
I think our dip in performance and results when he was out is a fair indication of the answer to that one bmb
Luke is almost back to square one, with it all to prove again. Its not going to be easy winning back his starting place, but he has the ability to achieve success at Villa Park.
I’d like to see Gabby rested with Young on the right. Luke on the left with Barry, McCann and Petrov in the middle. It worked really well before.
