There seems to be a new world order since Martin O’Neill appeared at Villa. All of a sudden Mark Lawrenson is a Villa fan, blimey, he even predicted we’d beat Manchester United last weekend (we lost 4-1 in case you’ve erased it from your memory!)
And would you believe it, he’s at it again for our game against Bolton!
He told the BBC site:
‘Aston Villa will be smarting from their 4-1 defeat at Manchester United last week and will be right up for this game. Bolton really need to get back to aggressive, in-your-face, no-nonsense football at the Reebok but that will take time to bed in under new manager Gary Megson and this game comes a bit too soon. ‘
And predicts Bolton 1-2 Villa
That’ll do nicely as we set off on a four game unbeaten run, or at least we should be with Bolton (away), Derby (home), Blues (away) and Boro (away) coming up. All banana skins but all games we can and should win, especially as we have European pretensions. Anything less than 9 out of 12 points would surely be a poor return?
Come on you Villa boys!
