Bruce also echoes what us fans often say, over the Christmas period, why not make life a bit more easy and comfortable and play more local games. Well said Stevie.
Injury updates
Andre Green trained all week, but too early for him yet.
John Terry is ‘kicking a ball and running around like a five year old` and was sore Wednesday. He should be ok in a few weeks.
Josh Onomah has a cut! They have to box clever with him.
Keinan Davis is over his illness.
Lansbury ‘I`m disappointed with that one` Bruce said. ‘He`s nicked a hamstring.`
And then onto questions for January. ‘We are trying as hard as we possibly can` but also explains the money is restricted. Steve is looking for a bit more luck injury wise. He also says the rest of the league is delighted we`ve had the injury problems that we`ve had ‘make no mistake about that`.
And on it goes.
Villa v Sheffield United. After the disappointment of the Derby County game, is absolutely massive. There are now teams below us, just outside of the play off position, knocking on the door to replace us. We cannot drop out of the play off positions, that is the very least we should all expect isn`t it? I personally expected top two but after a slow start and the injury run, put together with some pretty negative football at times, my expectations have been blown out of the water!
Upper Trinity open so please get friends, relatives, 2nd cousins,mother in laws etc,to come down and get behind us on saturday and see Villa Park full and rocking #utv

I don`t get why the press conference then turned to questions about Manchester City. I do not give a fig about such matters!!!!!!!
