The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of Aston Villa’s upcoming fixture against Leeds United.

Steve Bruce’s side host Leeds United (tonight) on Friday April 13 for the game at Villa Park and the match commences at 7.45pm.

Friday the 13th…what could go wrong?

Referee: Tony Harrington
Assistant Referees: Daniel Leach and Paul Hodskinson
Fourth Official: Geoff Eltringham

We now turn to Vital Villa’s resident refereeing expert sirdennis for his unique insight into the appointed Referee.

“I will be honest here and say that I can’t remember having this ref this season although we have had so many games now their ineptitude kind of blurs into one.

If as expected he is anything like the others then stand by for another evening of mystifying decision making and again someone with the urge to get noticed on national TV.

At least his name isn’t Jeremy.”

Harrington has overseen Aston Villa games against Ipswich Town and Fulham this season. Four yellow cards have been shown – one to us – and it’s one win and one loss with him in charge.

So far this season he’s shown 117 yellows and six red cards in 33 games in total.

This is Villa, it’s Friday the 13th – your guess is definitely as good as mine on this one!
