McCann Back + Hendrie 24 Hour Recall

Great news as the much missed (who’d have guessed following last seasons showing?!) Villa midfielder Gavin McCann is back in training and could return to action on Sunday against Blackburn Rovers.

The 28-year-old has missed three games with a calf injury

O’Neill said: ‘Gavin trained yesterday and he was back out there again this morning, so he’s definitely on the mend. We’ll have to wait and see if there’s any reaction and we’ll have better idea tomorrow whether he’ll be ready for the Blackburn game, but he’s definitely getting there.’
