McCann Out – Sneijder In?

Gavin McCann is a target for newly promoted Sunderland according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 29-year-old Villa midfielder is under pressure to keep his place in the Villa midfield with younger players coming through the system and more purchases expected in the summer, so it could well make sense to see McCann move on and a return to the Stadium Of Light under Roy Keane might make sense for him.

According to the report ‘a clutch’ of other Premiership clubs are also interested. Hmmm, been talking with his agent have they!? McCann joined Villa from the then relegated Mackams for £2million in the summer of 2003.

They also say we are after Ajax’s 22-year-old Dutch international Wesley Sneijder. That’ll do nicely son!
