There’s still plenty of ongoing speculation about the future of Ross McCormack as the January transfer deadline nears and now we have Nottingham Forest linked.

The Birmingham Mail report that the player is closing in on a move away from Villa Park having fallen out of favour with manager Steve Bruce in recent weeks and it’s now expected he will follow midfielder Aaron Tshibola out to the City Ground on a loan deal until the end of the campaign.

With reports of the either £9million up to £12million or £15million deal for Scott Hogan ticking through, getting him off our wage bill at least would be progress especially if he’s not in our plans now.

There aren’t many details but it’s expected to be a late deal if all goes well and he does make the switch, so I guess no early night for me tonight.
