Alex McLeish’s instructions to the players ahead of the Wolves game are clear and simple. Give everything on the pitch and come off knackered and proud.
Hopefully not knackered as in crocked and injured for 6 months, but knackered in the sense that the players will be too tired to celebrate our 5-0 win.
Speaking to the Official Site the Eck said.
‘In professional sport you can’t guarantee results, but what I expect from my players is that they give the Villa fans everything. I want them to come back in after the game and say ‘I can’t have given any more’. We are at Villa Park, we expect a vociferous crowd to back the lads, and it’s up to our lads to turn it on like they did last week.’
McLeish also said that Gabby and Heskey have recovered from their knocks against Blackburn, so you’d expect the same line up.
