Has everyone else recovered from the weekend’s disappointment yet?

I took Sunday off as I just couldn’t face the inevitable fall out from the game:

Which players don’t deserve a second chance?
Which players should we cash in on whilst people think they are half decent?
Steve Bruce and his future?

And so on – if anybody is interested in how those chats are playing here, you don’t have to search far on the forum – usual caveats apply, strong language, illogical opinions, internet FACTS on display etc.

Match Stats: Aston Villa v Fulham – We Blow It At Wembley

Anyway, as the dust continues to settle on Aston Villa spending another year of life in the Championship and potential Financial Fair Play rules now really about to bite as we discover how much of a shakeup our first team squad now needs, people can begin to torture themselves about the 2018/19 campaign.

Here’s where it all begins again.

Fixtures for all three EFL divisions will be released at 9am on Thursday, June 21.

The first round of fixtures are scheduled to take place over the weekend of Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 5. With the first weekend of action set, television shenanigans will again come into play as fans generally get shafted with games being moved.

For Villa, we also welcome West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City and Swansea City to our fixtures lists for next season following their relegation from the Premier League. Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United are the next three owing to their promotions from League One.

Everyone excited again…no didn’t think so.

Maybe in another month?
