O’Neill has confirmed that he will sit down with Milly Milner in the summer and thrash out a new contract.

Speaking to the Express and Star O’Neill confirmed that he had already spoken with the player and that it had been agreed that contract talks would wait until the season had ended.

‘I’ve already spoken to him and we are not going to sit down now.’

O’Neill adds that the run in till the end of the season is going to be busy enough and that all the players need to focus on the tasks in hand, so entering into negotiations would simply be a distraction. Milner agrees with this.

There is no great rush, and I’m not sure if any conditions or targets have been hit in the original contract, but Milly is ours until June 2012 at any rate, so any new deal or extension will simply be as a result of his growing importance within the team.

I think 2025 seems about right for an extension doesn’t it.
