Yesterday afternoon Stefan Moore agreed a 3 year contract with QPR. He was paraded on their pitch in their shirt. As reported by Premium TV’s official QPR site.

At the same time our Premium TV official site reported that Stefan Moore hadn’t even spoken to QPR and most certainly had not signed for them.

Mistake number one, Villa look stupid even though they are in the right here. Why, because we reported that QPR had permission to talk to the player, yet they still had to meet. Why is that stupid, simply because it’s obvious they had bloody met considering he was on their pitch wearing their shirt, standing next to their manager.

We were right, but we look stupid through lazy and inaccurate reporting of the facts.

Stefan has agreed a 3 year contract with them, he wasn’t superimposed in the photos and he has moved on a free transfer. Yet another in the long list of youngsters not given a chance by our manager, and yet another in the long list of players given away to reduce Mr Bypass’s wage bill.

Phil Mepham finally clarified the whole joke in saying:

‘We have reached an agreement with QPR over the transfer of Stefan Moore but as of Tuesday morning he will remain an Aston Villa player,” he said ‘we have not received the paperwork from QPR and as such the transfer cannot be said to be complete.’

Which is still slightly different from claims that he has yet to speak to QPR (despite obviously having spoken to them) and being our player in all honesty. The paperwork is technically unimportant. We gave him a free transfer, he is his own agent, he has spoken to QPR and agreed terms….Villa may want to excuse this episode by saying he is still our player today, but facts remain we nolonger hold his contract or any control over him. He is a QPR player and no number of excuses to cover pathetic reporting and lack of knowledge or ridiculous ‘he hasn’t spoken to them yet’ claims change that.

We wish Stefan the best of luck, we hope he has the chances he was never given at our club….and we hope our club finally learn the stupidity of speaking before thinking. This lesson should’ve learnt years ago, let alone weeks ago when announcing Bellamy was ours, some times things take time. How much longer does our stupid club need to learn?
