Adam McGurk says he is learning from Luke Moore and praised the Villa striker after the 2-1 reserves win v Arsenal last night.

McGurk, who has 3 goals in 4 reserve games, said:

‘It’s great to play alongside senior players like Luke. You learn so much more in those games than you can at Under-18 level. It’s a much quicker tempo, but you get used to it and I think the Academy players who have come into the reserves this season have learned a lot. Playing for the reserves is not all about results, it’s about development. If we develop as we should, the results come with the performances. We’ve been playing well lately and the results are taking care of themselves.’

Luke Moore also scored last night getting his 4th goal in four reserve games following his return from injury.

VILLA: Olejnik, Hogg, Lund, Herd, Lowry, Osbourne, Y.Bellon, Gardner, Moore, McGurk, Stieber. Subs: Albrighton (for Bellon 73), Bevan, Bannan, Simmonds.
