Moore Trouble At Villa?

Looks like Moore trouble for Aston Villa as Luke Moore’s agent says the player is worried having been frozen out of the team.

In an article by Bill Howell (you know the one, evil local reporter who single handedly ruined David O’Leary’s season, excuse number 28972 I believe) of the Birmingham Mail runs a story today saying that the 20-year-old is concerned about next season.

Moore was dropped for the last six games despite the fact he was the joint top Premiership scorer (with Milan Baros) at the time. Now he wants to make sure that he won’t face the same again next season, especially as O’Leary is hoping to find a target man to play up front (which makes you question why he sold Peter Crouch for just £2million?) with Baros (if he isn’t sold – which we all know he will be) or Angel (if he doesn’t leave, which we all suspect he will!!).

Of bigger concern for Luke must be the fact that Gabriel Agbonlahor seemed to have leapfrogged him in the pecking order.

The Birmingham Mail say that Moore was off to Glasgow last summer but Doug made a late offer to stop him leaving. He was also linked to Chris Coleman at Fulham.

Moore’s agent, Steve Kutner, told the Mail:

‘We need to know Aston Villa’s plans for Luke but it is very difficult for us to do anything because of all the uncertainty at the club.’

Adding:

‘Luke is Villa through and through. In an ideal world he would remain there forever and be their striker. But if O’Leary says he is not going to be his number one next year he may decide to go elsewhere. Luke is going on holiday and when he comes back hopefully the club will have sorted everything out. Then I have to speak to David, who has been very honest with me in the past, and find out what his plans are for Luke.’

Moore got 8 Premiership goals and made 16 starts as well as 11 sub appearances.
