With some Aston Villa fans understandably getting a bit antsy when it comes to the ongoing injury concerns surrounding Jack Grealish, the club did give us a more positive piece of news this week.

The 24-year-old Academy talent limped off in the game against Manchester City the other week and despite the sounds that he would return for both Liverpool and then Wolverhampton Wanderers, the fact he didn’t, left some feeling that this might be a repeat of last season where he was out for a significant number of weeks.

With plenty of theories doing the rounds on social media, on Wednesday the Official Site gave a brief update.

Jed Steer is still being assessed for a timeframe on his injury, and with no mention whatsoever of Tom Heaton or Bjorn Engels, the update did confirm that Matt Targett and Jack will be back in training by the end of the week.
