My Window Cleaner Backs O’Neill!!

BBC Radio WM have reported that Villa have agreed a fee of £8million with West Bromwich Albion for central defender and England U21 international Curtis Davies.

As luck would have it, my window cleaner (bear with me!) has just done the rounds, he is a Baggies fan and although he questions the price (!) he says he is a top prospect, fast and not afraid to get stuck in.

So there you have it, my window cleaner backs Martin O’Neill’s judgement on this one. Shame he smothered my windows in mud though (that will be the window cleaner not Martin O’Neill by the way).

Other reports have stressed that O’Neill won’t give up on Davies as his target but that he has got other options if all else fails. With Davies reportedly wanting to come to Villa, surely it is only a matter of time as West Brom would be better with the money than having an unhappy player on their hands surely? That said, if it isn’t done quickly and they aren’t left with time to replace him, maybe they’ll stand firm?

Another report suggests O’Neill was interested in using Cahill as part of the deal to tempt the Baggies to sell Davies but that Cahill won’t consider a move. I hope that isn’t true, I would hope he is highly rated and viewed as one of our youth gems?
