Mark Lawrenson has predicted a 1-1 draw in the Aston Villa v Arsenal game on Saturday.

He told the BBC site: ‘Both teams are in great form at the moment, so let’s go for a draw. Villa have sneaked up into sixth place without anyone knowing and Arsenal rested players midweek against Sevilla, so manager Arsene Wenger will have his big guns back for this tie.’

Mystic Mug is sticking his neck out and going for the first Villa win v Arsenal in nine years. 1-0 will do nicely. Our last win against the Gunners was under John Gregory in 1998 (3-2). Our record since is 12 losses and 5 draws.

Match preview to follow later.

So what do you think, can Villa give us another great home performance like the Chelsea one? The good news is I missed Chelsea through ill health and we won 2-0 and this week Hoodoo Fear will also not be at Villa Park as my mate is getting married – the mad fool! :o( Hopefully my absence will bring us luck!!!!
