Lawro on www.bbc.co.uk/sport has, once again, got Villa down for a loss. This time he`s predicting Stoke City to win at Villa Park 2-1
He says although Stoke started the season badly there wasn`t a doubt they would get better. He points to Stoke having both quality and scrappers then adds, worryingly: “The worry for Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is that he does not have enough of either.”
Slightly harsh to say none of the signings apart from Rudy Gestede have caught the eye yet though, Gana has looked very good. He says “there is no way you can tell me they look a better team than last year. The reality of the situation is that they are in a relegation fight. Sherwood has admitted it, but some of their new players will be thinking ‘I didn’t sign up for this’.
Gulp! The one thing that does resonate is no Benteke up front to save us if our newbies don`t soon gel.

has just gone silly now, he`s refusing to be anything but positive and is losing 5-1 to Lawro…! He says Villa might have given up already but he hasn`t. A 2-1 win v Stoke City is what he predicts and to be fair, he then put his crystal ball away and put his head in his hands!
