New Home Shirt Released

AVFC have now released images of their home shirt which is now on pre-order.

Gone is the yellow piping, and the claret & blue ‘dog collar’ effect. In of course have come 32red.com, who take over from COWS as our main sponsor.

The only thing I can say about it is that it’s very clean-cut, no messy designs, no bizarre 1-coloured sleeves like other clubs do. Straight to the point. However when it comes down to the replica’s, its the quality of the material that will be under scrutiny as Hummel have struggled to provide shirts where the sponsor logo stays on. Whilst improved, I dare say many a Villa fan would like to see Nike, Adidas or one of the other major brands come in.

There is a photo posted in the forum but sshhh don’t tell anyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly convey my sympathy for Tommy Sorensen, who will spend the entire 2006/2007 Premiership season dressed in what can only be described as rather awfully coloured kits.

It should be noted that the Vital Villa forum brought images of a kit that was being sold rather cheekily on eBay from Indonesia. Turned out it was the real thing about a month early!

You know its a slow news day when you have to report on shirt colours!
