News just in. Villa have announced their new shirt sponsor will be:

‘Cost Cutter’.

Doug Ellis told the unofficial site ‘We are obviously delighted to tie in with such a premium grocery chain. I’ve noticed in the past that people have accused me of running this club like a corner shop, now they will have to eat their words. Talking about eating, another bonus for such a high profile deal is that I will get £5.00 of grocery vouchers each week to spend on anything in their stores. My wife and I are excited at the prospect of saving such a huge amount yearly on our grocery bill.’

He goes on to explain ‘We did forget, during the negotiations, to ask the company to actually pay to have their adverts on our shirts, but we see that as only a very small issue, we must all remember not to be greedy. You only have to look at the manager, he has at least fifteen fit players and we also have an under 13’s team who he can pick from, so why he is asking for money to buy more players is beyond the board and myself’.
