Some fans are asking if the tickets for the play-off semi-final at Villa Park is going to be given to season ticket holders for free.

I can confirm, it is not!

I asked a contact at the club a few weeks back about this, as I thought it would be a really nice ‘thank you’ to long-standing season ticket holders especially, or those who had renewed before waiting to see what division we will end up in next season.

However, despite the idea being well received, it wasn’t thought to be possible because the income from these games, much like other Cup games, is shared between the clubs taking part.

I think the confusion came because season ticket holders are apparently being encouraged to keep hold of their season ticket cards. Unless we are told they are being replaced, I thought we were meant to keep them anyway.

Exciting times though, I’m not the biggest fan in the world of the play-offs per se, but hey, it means the season isn’t over after our match with Millwall and we still have a chance of reaching the ‘promised land’.

I booked my hotel room for Wembley weeks ago. We’ll get there. Have no fear.
