No More Excuses

David O´Leary says he is ‘ashamed’ after the Carling Cup exit against Doncaster on Tuesday.

This time, instead of excuses, the Aston Villa manager has agreed the blame lies with him:

O´Leary said: ‘I am ashamed about the other night. I take full responsibility for what happened. It was my fault.’

If he feels ashamed, I’m not sure how he thinks the Villa fans feel? O’Leary has never tried to ingratiate himself with the Villa faithful, from day one if he wasn’t talking about Leeds he would be telling us about his small squad or how honest they all are. Does he really think his public comments have motivated the players?

He might be ‘ashamed’ but evidently not ‘ashamed’ enough to do the decent thing and tendure his resignation.

O’Leary has been made favourite to be the next Premiership manager to face the axe. They were slashed from from 11/4 to 2/1.
