It’s been revealed that Andi Weimann will not need surgery over the summer, leaving him free to return early to get back up to fitness for next season.

Speaking to the Official Site Weimann explained the good news:

‘I don’t need an operation, it’s a grade two medial ligament in my right knee. I’m going to be fitted with a special knee brace and I need to wear that for four weeks. After that, I think I can start with leg weights. They’ve said eight weeks in total so hopefully I should be fit for the start of pre season. My pre season will start two weeks before everyone else I think. It’s not too bad.’

Hopefully Weimann will be ready for the start of the games, and with a good pre season behind him as a ‘first teamer’ he should really be able to push on next campaign and reach the potential most think he’s capable of.
