Oh… and indeed ah…

www.skysports.com have an article whose source is the well connected Midlands correspondent for them, Pete Colley.

They claim that Kevin MacDonald is due to remain in charge for the next three matches as they aren`t any closer to naming a new manager.

Next three? Well, I hope that includes tonight so…Southampton away, Spurs away on Monday 1st November and then Manchester City at home on November 7th.

No rush Villa, not as if we are in a relegation battle or anything!

The report goes on to say that Remi Garde is still their number one target, see: Be On Your Garde For Remi and forum thread: Click Here

I must admit, when I saw Sherwood had been sacked I assumed the board had already got the next man through the rotating doors lined up. Evidently not. Gulp.

I did an interview with Franksie on Radio WM this evening, the one line I came out with was hurtful to say but also the truth. We used to be Harrods, we are now Aldi. How did it sink this far? When you think we have 28 games remaining, we`ve played 10 and won only 1, you look at previous years and 36-37 points would perhaps get us safety, we need 11 wins (obviously some draws instead of losses changes that) and despite that, we now have a caretaker manager and are wrangling – apparently – over a French manager with no experience in the Premiership.

What could possibly go wrong ladies and gentlemen?
