Not Emotional. Pull The Other One!

Dean Smith has said he has no time to be emotional.

I think maybe he can leave that to the sell out crowd at Villa Park then?

I’ll be emotional (well, ish, I’m not a big one for emotions) to see the stay away fans back and hopefully a united dressing room and united terraces.

We now have new owners, a new CEO, a new manager and new coaches.

It’s time to unite properly, get behind the team and hope and pray we can get up this season, if not as long as we can see what they are building, we can show some patience.

I love the fact Dean Smith plays attractive football.

So, on WM, he says he has no time to be emotional. Pull the other one Dean, you are about to step out at Villa Park, a place you frequented as a kid, to manage YOUR team. We know you will be!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting to see Christian Purslow talking as well, he’s kept a low profile since arriving at Villa in order to get his feet under the desk and fully get to grips with the task at hand. I like the fact he’s identified Smith due to the attractive nature of football the manager plays. It’s time to start giving the loyal fans a little bit to cheer about.

Come on you Villa!

Oh and I’ve just seen a tweet via the official tweet doo dah, Smith admits the introduction to the crowd will be emotional today. There you go then! I remember reading John Gregory’s autobiography where he says when he walked out for the first time he thought we’d all hate him (some big names were available back then, George Graham, Terry Venables etc) and got a nice surprise by how great the reception was.
