David O’Leary has told the players ‘You are not too good to go down.’

Lets hope those words are ringing in their ears when they run out this afternoon against Premiership strugglers Portsmouth.

O’Leary said: ‘I want to keep this club safe. The next 11 games will be like FA Cup finals.’

Now lets see the talk on the pitch.

Some good news is Wilfred Bouma might be fit enough to help sort out the defensive crisis.

O’Leary told the official site: ‘He’s been out for a long time, but he looks really sharp in training. He looks really good and if I could have had a reserve game this week, I’d have been shocked if he couldn’t have played the full 90 minutes.’

Come on Villa. 3 points and a few smiles on the fans faces as they leave Villa Park this afternoon.
