No. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the 18. He has done nothing to warrant inclusion , and Hogan , Davis and Grabban are ahead of him in the pecking order.

Colin Calderwood was on press duties today for Aston Villa today, and he feels that victory over Birmingham City this weekend will lift the fans to another level this season. There will no doubt be more to come from the press conference and Calderwood as he filled in for Steve Bruce, who as fans will know has taken some time out for family reasons following the news of the sad loss of his father earlier this week. With hopes and expectations high going into the second City derby, the fact Villa are on a fantastic run of form and are going for seven wins on the spin, and even Birmingham’s form of late has lifted slightly – but form counts for nothing in derbies and it’s going to be it’s usual tricky, feisty and tense affair. Ha, the ‘who will I be shouting at this week’ article!… The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Aston Villa and Birmingham City this Sunday.
