A short statement from Aston Villa said:
Rudy Gestede has left Villa to join Middlesbrough.
Gestede has signed a deal at the Riverside Stadium until 2020.
The Benin striker, who joined us from Blackburn Rovers in July 2015, made 51 appearances and scored 10 goals in claret and blue.
