Jores Okore has said he’s been made to feel one of the ‘guys’ since joining the club, and he’s hoping that in seasons to come we can be a ‘really exciting, top team.’

Speaking to the Official Site after picking up a knock on our tour of Germany – well it was the first game really – Okore said that bonding with the lads had been easy, and everyone had made him very welcome:

‘I feel good here at Villa, I feel great to have come to a team which has made me one of the guys. They have made me feel at home, it’s like one big family. It’s been a great week for getting to know them, they are easy to get on with.’

As for our continued growth, Okore says that he feels we have added some real quality to the team and that will help us be ‘more unique’ next season:

‘We want to develop as a team and in the years to come we can become a really exciting, top team. I signed here because it’s a young, hungry, ambitious team. I felt I could easily settle into the side and we have a really good exciting time ahead which I want to be part of.’

Still all the right noises coming from the players – well 99% of them! – but still plenty of concerns exist for fans. Can the new signings be the leaders we want them to be, or will they need time to work on their own game first?
