It was another of those weekends for Aston Villa fans as we fell to a 3-2 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at Villa Park.

Having taken the lead through a Toby Alderweireld own goal nine minutes in, we saw the best and worst of us again and despite Bjorn Engels making up for a few errors when he made it 2-2, a stoppage time effort from them denied us a very deserved point on the day.

Manchester United beat us to the inaugural Prem title in 1992/93, but what was the score when we travelled to Old Trafford?

Naturally, the Video Assistant Referee shambles took plenty of headlines but for a neutral, it was a very enjoyable attacking display from both sides.

Statistics website Whoscored certainly reflected the performance in their scores, but their star man nod went to goalkeeper Pepe Reina for his efforts between the sticks and I’d imagine most would agree Man of the Match was a toss up between him and Jack Grealish.

Completing the top five best performers in their system were Jack (7.88), Matt Targett (7.50), Douglas Luiz (7.10) and Mbwana Samatta (7.07).

Onto the next one and points to ensure we stay out of the drop zone.
