There is a signed Olof Mellberg shirt currently up for auction on Ebay with all proceeds going to the Paul Birch Trust.

Thought it worth pointing out: Click Here

Thanks to the Vital Chelsea editor there is also a dvd on the team of 82 signed by Sir Dennis of Mortimer. He is going to provide me with the details shortly but if anyone wants to make an offer, feel free to do so in the article comments or email me via the link by my name in the editor details.

Don’t forget I also have a signed ball from the team of 2004 (old badge) also signed by Dennis Mortimer. I did say bidding to start at £75 but I’ll be prepared to start at £40 if that brings in an offer. Details: Click Here

There is also the offer of a programme from forum member The Pretender: I still have a spare 1982 programme which I’ll let you put up for raffle if you want. Not signed or anything – but in excellent condition.
Might not make much – but as the saying goes ‘Ever penny counts’
so if anyone wants to make an offer, do so in this article or via the forum or my email as above. Forum thread >> Click Here

The funeral of Paul is going to be held on Friday 13th February at 3.30pm at West Bromwich Crematorium.

Flowers only from family who have requested if anyone wishes to make a gesture should be via donations by cheque to the ‘Paul Birch Trust’ and sent to –

There will be more fund raising events over the months to come. Announcements will be made in due course once arrangements have been finalised. As you would expect the Aston Villa Former Players Association is doing a sterling job.
