Stiliyan Petrov has called on his team mates to forget about the Chelsea result last weekend and not let it ruin our season.

Speaking on the Official Site Petrov admitted that the team lacked spirit and that training this week was going to feel incredibly long winded before they get the chance to put things right against Bolton.

‘We didn’t show any spirit which is very surprising. We always battle but we lost our heart which is not like us.’

Adding that it’s been a fantastic season so far and they can’t let one freaky result ruin it.

Adding himself to the list thus far containing only James Collins, Petrov also apologised to the fans for the result and performance and added that the away support had been ‘magnificent’ this season.

‘We feel sorry for the travelling fans because they have been magnificent for us and what they saw wasn’t pleasant.’

At least that’s two players who could be bothered to apologise.
