Port Vale are enjoying FA Cup ticket fever.

The club have currently sold 4000 of the 6 800 allocated and tickets aren’t even on general sale yet!

Vale chairman Bill Bratt said:

‘The sales are going great, and with 4,000 already sold I see no reason why we can’t sell the rest of our allocation. The upper tier of the North Stand at Villa Park is now full and it is just tickets for the lower tier that we have left, but I am confident they will go too. We had already sold 2,000 before the weekend, and this has now doubled in two days.’

The tie is to be played on January 28th at 3pm.

Bratt reckons Vale can give Villa a run for their money as well!

‘If we can get behind the side and make as much noise as we possibly can at Villa Park and try and outshout their fans then it will give our players great confidence. The fans that have been at Vale’s last two cup games have been magnificent and really made their voices heard, and that is what we will be looking at for the game against Villa.’

The game should raise Port Vale in the region of £180 000 although the Chairman admits that money is needed to balance the books, not to buy new players.
