Manager Tim Sherwood has now held his pre Swansea City press conference, and the first thing coming out in print is an injury update.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, the underfire gaffer explained that Gabby Agbonlahor was now back in training and in contention for the game this weekend having now overcome the calf injury he picked up in the Capital One Cup triumph over Birmingham City.

He was obviously substituted at half time in that game.

Confirming that he comes back into the match day squad for the Swansea game, Sherwood was also delighted to say we have a clean bill of health for a change, so that of course means Ciaran Clark is also available having missed Stoke and Chelsea with a thigh strain.

Oh for the love of a correct selection with everybody fit eh!

Clarkie will have to pass a late fitness test though just to check his energy levels, but let’s face it, and I’m no Joleon Lescott hater, but he hasn’t been at the races for the last few games now, so give him a break and let’s get Mr Yellow Card back to tighten things up, then hopefully we’ll see the best of our skipper when Jores Okore comes back and he can take up the right side berth.

‘Everyone is fit. There’s a few who haven’t done as much training as we would have liked. I will have to check if they are going to ready for selection tomorrow. But it’s very quiet in the treatment room, which is good news.’
