Over the weekend it was being reported that Aston Villa had rejected an offer from Reading for Leandro Bacuna.

Sky Sports were reporting that their sources understood that Reading had made a firm £1.5million offer for the 25 year old but that had been rejected out of hand.

Sky don’t believe they will be returning with an improved offer and will instead turn their attention to other targets.

Bacuna has played his part under manager Steve Bruce and that continued as he replaced Jack Grealish in this weekend’s draw with Watford but he continues to divide fans despite making 31 appearances last year and having made over 120 since first arriving from Groningen back in 2013.

With three years believed to be left on his deal I would imagine we might deal if they went to at least £2.5million.
