Following the arrival of Steven Gerrard as Aston Villa’s new head coach, one player that has shown significant improvement has been midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.

The 27-year-old probably hasn’t had the game time he’d have liked since making his switch from Club Brugge, but it looks like he’s now one of the first names on the team sheet under Gerrard and his more recent performances are more than worthy of that being the case.

With solid showings from Nakamba, particularly in the games against Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace, Villans have voted him as our Player of the Month for November (with him also starting in the defeat to Southampton at the beginning of the month).

Marvelous is beginning to live up to his name and he took 36% of the vote, beating a rejuvenated John McGinn into second place (24%), leaving Ollie Watkins in third (12%).

He’s certainly deserving of all the praise that’s coming his way at the moment, and with the whole side showing steady improvement, hopefully, he’ll continue to play his part in that.
