Martin O’Neill is relishing the chance of getting our season back on track against Arsene Wenger’s fancy footballers.

Speaking on the official site O’Neill said he was impressed with how Arsenal have bounced back from their own disappointments and although he it will be certainly anything but an easy game, he’s hoping we can put our disappointing last two games behind us and bounce back ourselves.

‘Arsenal are a very fine side. They proved that against Manchester United in a brilliant match last weekend. It is obviously going to be very difficult for us.

‘Arsenal are excellent on their own patch. They play lovely football. It will be an interesting game because they will now feel they are back on track for the Premier League title.

‘It was a big task against Manchester United. They needed to win that and they did which augurs well for them as they push on this season.

‘Now it is up to us. Now, we need to win to put us back on track.

‘We are a bit disappointed with the results in the last two games. It is hard to get over the last few minutes of the Middlesbrough game when we gifted them a goal.

‘But we must remember we are a fine side when everything is going for us. Confidence is still high and we will be fine. We will certainly be ready.’

There’s no doubt on our day we are good enough to beat Arsenal convincingly and our use of the counter attack will prove to be the deciding factor as you know Arsenal will have most of the possession, but like so much Villa related if we don’t turn up we could be in line for another embarrassing defeat.
