Reported Villa Target Sees His Asking Price Drop & These Fans Want To “Snap Him Up”

|

Aston Villa have now long been linked with a move for impressive Brentford striker Neal Maupay following head coach Dean Smith’s switch from Griffin Park to us and it continues to be a rumour that won’t go away during the summer transfer window.

With Villa light on goals up front despite the recent capture of Wesley from Club Brugge, the expectation is that Scott Hogan will be moving on and there remain some doubts about the future of Jonathan Kodjia as he saw his first team spot go to Tammy Abraham last season.

The Sun recently claimed that Sheffield United had now stepped up their interest in the 22-year-old who scored 28 goals and provided eight assists last season, but that Brentford had more given up their hopes of keeping him and dropped the price from £22million to £15million, which is obviously better value from our point of view.

For that price, plenty of fans felt we should restore our apparent interest in him.
