I think most Aston Villa fans will reflect fondly when it comes to memories of former goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.
The 101 capped Denmark international made the switch to Villa Park from Sunderland back in 2003 for a snip £2.25million and he went on to make 158 starting appearances for us during far better days given the last few season’s we’ve had.
Allied to the nostalgia was the strong Scandinavian connection we had for a bit with the likes of John Carew, Olof Mellberg and Martin Laursen and a recent Tweet from the stopper certainly got the nostalgia flowing for Villa fans over the weekend.
The Scandi-crew back together. Like the old @avfcofficial days 👊 https://t.co/dyTdKVE2kb pic.twitter.com/Z7awkMm2vd

With fans remembering the trio fondly, it might only be a small touch but adding in the official accounts tag to ensure the photo reached as many Villans as possible shows that the love can go both ways when a player is taken to our hearts.
Amazing picture, shame Carew isn’t there, he’s probably having tea at Kensington palace
