Alex McLeish has said that Robbie Keane is chomping at the bit to start against Wolves, but apparently there’s no rush to use him.

Speaking to the Official Site McLeish again reiterated that Keane was sharp in training and that he’d struck up quite an understanding with Ireland but he refused to give any clues about our possible team this weekend.

‘We’ve got another few days of training and Robbie’s been looking sharp so I’ve got food for thought for the weekend. We’ll keep our team quiet just now. I don’t want to give away anything in advance.’

He also says that despite only having Keane for 6 weeks he’s in no rush to start or use him and that the time will have to be right for him.

‘There isn’t any pressure to start him. He is not here for long but it has to be the right time. We’re just assessing him fitness wise.’

So we can assume Keane will start, and probably Albrighton will lose out. The rest of the team will be as it has been and whatever happens, it’ll be the fault of a young player, it’ll be a defensive mistake but they still have the season to get it right, and otherwise we played brilliantly and deserved more.

Now if only I could work out the lottery numbers.
