These reports bother me.

Really bother me.

The reason they bother me is they get the fans angry and yet they are based on supposition and often lies.

This one, www.dailymail.co.uk says that Adama Traore will be offloaded having cost around £7million from Barcelona in the summer if (when) Aston Villa go down.

All well so far, he might well be. Who knows who they will want to offload and who knows which of the players – apart from Joleon Lescott who has already declared his loyalty to the club and that he will stick around if wanted for the championship campaign (and will probably be of good use in the championship with his experience I would think)

So where is the problem?

The young winger is understood to have joined on a contract worth £40,000 initially but scheduled to rise to £90,000 per week by 2017-18.

I call bulls***

I actually did an article on rumours about him before. No one knows what payers are paid, the club lawyers and people who do these deals don`t tell us. However when I did the article I had a call from someone very (VERY) senior at the club just to correct me on it because it was doing the rounds and they were aghast at the rumour.

He is nowhere near our top earner. He has not got a clause that says if he plays more than 10 games he`ll get a massive rise and he will never be the top paid player on the current deal.

£90 000 a week? Just common sense tells you that Villa don`t pay those sorts of wages and actually, for a young ‘kid` being brought in not quite ready for first team action, it is pretty clear they don`t pay £40 000 either.

There is SO much for us to be angry about at the moment without false throwaway reports.

Rant over!

By the way, is there anyone anywhere who will pay me just £90 000 a year please, I`ll do nothing for it, like some of our players. Deal or no deal?
