Blackburn defender Chris Samba has confirmed that there have been talks between Rovers and Villa for his services.
Speaking to France Football over his issues with the current regime at Blackburn, Samba confirmed that there was a dialogue between the clubs over a move in January.
‘I heard about interest from Lyon, but there is no contact, however there is contact between Blackburn and Aston Villa.’
He gives no clues as to how advanced such chats might be, nor does he declare his interest in such a move outside of expressing a desire to leave Rovers following their treatment of Sam Allardyce.
So we’ll see.
