On Wednesday, Aston Villa announced the first of a few loan deals I’m hoping to see this year as we sent young goalkeeper Matija Sarkic out for the season and a spell north of the border with Scottish side Livingston.
The 21-year-old came through Anderlecht’s youth system before making the switch to us back in 2015 and although we saw him a couple of few times on the bench last season, he is yet to make a senior appearance for us.
.@SarkicMatija has today joined Scottish Premiership side Livingston on a season-long loan.

Having impressed at Under 23 level, he had a disappointing spell out on loan in 2017/18 with Wigan Athletic but he did get six games for Stratford Town last year, as well as a single appearance for Havant & Waterlooville on an emergency loan to them.
Hopefully, this spell at Livingston will give him a proper run in the first team and he can really show what he’s capable of at a better level. They have just sold their former Number 1 as well, so if he takes his chance the shirt is effectively open.
Good move for the young lad .
