It’s turning into quite a lively transfer window deadline day for Aston Villa, but as I type, we don’t yet have the incoming second striker that we were all hoping for. We have however recalled Rushian Hepburn-Murphy from his loan spell out with Tranmere Rovers ahead of a reported mid-season switch out to Derby County.
The deal seeing the 21-year-old step up to the Championship level has now been confirmed by Aston Villa.
Good luck at Derby, @Rushcmpt! π#AVFC

I think this will be more of a case of seeing if he can handle it in the championship, if he canβt then I could see him being released

During his spell at Prenton Park, he scored five times in 23 appearances for the side and with only six months left on his contract, I’d imagine his impact at Pride Park in the second half of the year may well dictate whether or not he gets a new deal.
In other loan news today, the club confirmed that highly rated 18-year-old midfielder Jacob Ramsey had penned a new three and a half year deal with the club, and had subsequently headed out for his first taste of League One football – spending the second half of the year out with Doncaster Rovers.
Congratulations on your new deal and good luck at Doncaster, @JacobRamsey28! βοΈ#AVFC

The Academy graduate made his first team debut last February as a substitute in the clash with West Bromwich Albion and he’s featured twice for head coach Dean Smith this season, in the Cup competitions.
