Aston Villa have a few players out on loan so far this season, so here’s an update following on from the last month.
Whether the numbers change this month with more youngsters going lower down the chain with the transfer loan window open – a maximum of 93 days out – remains to be seen.
Any season long loans would’ve been wrapped up during the transfer window itself.
For last month’s update please click here.
We shall begin with the man whose always fine as long as he lands on his head.
Nathan Baker as we know is at Bristol City and he went out just prior to deadline day and is a season long move.
In his time at Ashton Gate so far, he has made four appearances for them, following his solitary Capital One Cup v Notts County appearance for us.
Next up is Joe Bennett with Bournemouth and he remains with them until January.
He is yet to appear for Eddie Howe and build on his solitary Capital One Cup v Notts County appearance for us this season.
Janoi Donacien completed his move to last year’s League Two Play Off finalists Wycombe Wanderers back in August for a month, and he debuted in their one all draw with Dagenham and Redbridge and since then took in a second game, a two one victory, over Hartlepool.
He returned to us in September, and almost immediately headed back out for a spell at Newport County. That is also a month long spell and so far at Rodney Parade he has made three further appearances.
Left back Aly Cissokho made the move to Porto at the beginning of August and so far I can only find details of his debuting for them against Maritimo in a one all draw. His loan is for the season.
Ricardo Calder headed to Scotland and Dundee at the turn of September and he remains with them until January. He has so far made two starting appearances and two appearances from the bench.
That brings us to Callum Robinson who made the move to Bristol City at the beginning of August, and ahead of Baker joining him. Robbo is there for the entire campaign.
He has returned one goal so far in their Capital One Cup loss to Luton Town, but made one starting appearance in the league along with five further substitute showings to date.
Since the last update, the Donacien change of club wasn’t the only new loan.
Goalkeeper Jed Steer moved to Championship side Huddersfield Town for a one month spell, and with that effectively over now given the international break, in his time with them he made five appearances. Their manager Chris Powell has talked about extending the spell shortly.
Kevin Toner also made the move out to Kidderminster Harriers for a month. He has so far made five starting appearances for the Aggborough outfit.
And unless I’ve gone crackers – that’s the lot for now.
