New Aussie international pledge Shane Lowry has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan.

The deal sees the 20 year old centre half team up with the Pilgrims for 3 months as they try and improve their fortunes this season.

Although it’s early in all league campaigns, Paul Sturrock’s team find themselves at the foot of the table and are desperately hoping for a change of luck.

Hopefully Lowry will get a good few games under his belt, as the experience will no doubt be invaluable as he continues his development.

peaking to ‘This Is Plymouth’ Sturrock said of our youngster:

Defensively, we are very short. He has got real potential and he wants to do well.

He has played with Alan Judge and Cillian Sheridan in the Republic of Ireland under-21 side, and they have waxed lyrical about him.”
