Manager Tim Sherwood has said that he can hold his head high despite our current form making Paul Lambert look like a genius.

On to today’s other wibbles then.

Apparently we had a disagreement in the tunnel at half time with the installation seen ‘rocking and swaying’.

Garry Monk is quoted as saying.

‘I was one of the first in the changing room – I don’t know but I think it was just a bit of an argument. The boys came into the dressing room and they were fine. We just talked about the game.’

We’ll have to see what referee Neil Swarbrick’s report says before we put this one to bed. It’s suggested it was between Federico Fernandez and Micah Richards following their on pitch clash.

Sherwood is quoted as saying.

‘If the ref had seen the original incident, he has to send him (Fernandez) off. He will probably get done retrospectively but it doesn’t help us out. I think Micah was just upset someone stuck their head into his face.’

Other media are talking of a disagreement in the tunnel at full time as well – but presumably they have their tunnels crossed.

There is obviously more from Tim Sherwood compared to his words on the official site and most of the media are now leading with his future will be decided by Monday.

The BBC have.

‘Am I going to be in the job next week? I’m not the person to ask. I feel like the club is in a hole. No, it’s out of my control. I can only control what I can control, and on Monday I’ll be working as hard I’ve done since I came to this club.’

Sherwood went on to joke he would turn his phone off so nobody from the board could get in touch with him this weekend.

‘I’ll just turn my phone off.’

As for the game itself, he went on to say.

‘I am disappointed with the result, we didn’t deserve to lose the game. We can’t carry anyone because we’re getting done. At the moment we are short. If people don’t give everything we’ll come up short. There’s no shortage in desire but the quality is not quite there. We’re not world beaters. Our league position suggests were not and today wasn’t our day. I am gutted we haven’t got anything from the game. It’s not about me personally. I believe we will get out of it and this club will be in the Premier League next season. I’m expecting them to improve to win enough games.’

The Birmingham Mail also have Sherwood quoted as saying that Hendrik Almstadt is the go between when it comes to him and Randy Lerner, as they don’t speak.

‘No I don’t speak to the chairman now because we’ve got Hendrik at the club, so if I need anything I can speak to him. Not with Tom (Fox), he’s there, I see Tom. I speak to him. He’s said nothing regarding my job, he’s just been Tom, it’s fine.’

And that’s your lot – I’m off to forget about football for a bit.
