Our latest poll follows on from the press rumours today.

Would you sell Jack Grealish?

If rumours are to be believed then that is a question Steve Bruce might soon have to answer.

Jack Grealish

The Daily Mail say Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka might test Villa`s resolve with a bid if Gaston Ramirez leaves for Leicester. Apparently the Foxes have said no to a £12m bid and want £15m.

What price Jack as replacement then?

Other question. Would Jack really want to leave us for a relegated threatened team up t`north?

The Mail report does have one good point, we might need to sell before buying anyone else to fit in with the financial fair play rules. Certainly a bit of competition now for Jack to keep his place with the new arrivals over the last few days.

Thoughts in the forum:

DeanoVilla said:

‘To be fair, 3 new players arriving in his position could be the kick up the arse he needs to finally pull his finger out. I can’t imagine we’d get mega money for him so don’t really see the point in selling.’ Adding, ‘Let’s see if he can finally knuckle down a bit. I’d give him another 18 months personally.’

Villan57 ever so slightly tongue in cheek said:

‘I can’t understand why anyone would come in for Grealish , when Westwood is available sheer madness.’

The Fear said “With Grealish, I’m not sure he’s done enough to impress Bruce. He’s now got to fight. Will his head be turned by other offers? Frankly, that’s up to him. Wouldn’t be gutted to see him go, wouldn’t be gutted to see him stay. Certainly he’s got a good bit of competition now.” Adding “Good points on the previous page (of the forum thread) that Grealish with better players around him might shine.” Thinking about it, be nice to see how he develops over the next year or so before looking to sell really wouldn`t it?

Jack Grealish

BringBakMon: “I think he flatters to deceive but it makes more sense to judge him (and a couple of others) alongside what we now hope is an actual midfield.”

Holtelower isn’t a fan:

‘Anyway, you get me wrong. If Grealish is prepared to stay, sit on the bench, work 100% in training, live like a monk on his evenings, and then change games if given a chance fair play. But personally, if , on Tuesday, we need to change it, I just hope Green gets his chance now, before Jack.
Perfect comparison……. Have a look at Greens twitter. Any pics of going out, any mates etc.” Adding, “All you see is quotes about how training went and how he loves his girlfriend. Time to sweep out old and give new a chance, its balls to say Grealish looked bad coz what was around him. Nottingham Forest are utterly a shambles, and Lansbury didn’t have any problems.’
